How things get verified

  1. Claims

    A phone call to the masjid’s published number, or an email from the masjid’s own domain — never just the requester’s word.

  2. Iqama times

    Congregants confirm with one tap. Suggested changes go to moderators; confirmed changes update the page and notify followers. Freshness is always shown, including honestly stale: “Last confirmed 6 weeks ago — may have changed.”

  3. Janazas

    Published only after direct confirmation with the masjid — and where possible the funeral home. Slower is acceptable. Wrong is not.

What Wasl never does

  • No ads.
  • No selling of ranking or placement in results.
  • No engagement mechanics — no likes, streaks or leaderboards.
  • No sale of data, ever, to anyone.
  • No theological adjudication: we verify that a gathering is real, never whether it is correct.

These aren’t policies; they’re the product.
