About Wasl
Wasl (وصل) means to connect, to join.
A family wanting to know what’s happening this weekend shouldn’t need twelve Instagram accounts, three WhatsApp groups, and a photo of a flyer someone taped to a door. The events exist. Discovery doesn’t. That’s the gap Wasl closes.
A directory of everything, half of it stale, is worse than nothing. Every listing shows where it came from and when it was last confirmed — the provenance chip is the product.
Anyone can submit an event or confirm an iqama time. Contributors who are consistently right earn faster publishing. Masjids that claim their pages get full control.
Janaza announcements are verified before publication, carried without a single engagement mechanic, and designed with the dignity they require.
Metro Detroit first — Dearborn, Detroit, Canton, Farmington Hills, Rochester Hills, and everywhere in between. One community, done properly, before anywhere else. The platform itself is built for any country, any city, any Muslim community; proving it somewhere real came first.
Built by members of this community, for it. Questions, ideas, corrections — we want to hear them.
